Online Festival for composers and performers in new music
Festival fellowships offer emerging, early-career composers an invaluable and immersive experience. Applicants selected for an IMPULSE FELLOWSHIP or BRIGHTWORK FELLOWSHIP will have a new or existing work performed by performance faculty, supported by lessons with the composition faculty, workshops and readings with the selected musician(s), and our series of online masterclasses.
Alternatively, our COMPOSITION LESSONS and PERFORMANCE LESSONS programs give applicants the opportunity to focus on studying with festival faculty. Participants also have access to our series of online masterclasses, and may submit solo audio/ video recordings of their work or performance for consideration on one of the festival's streaming concerts.
All participants have access to our public Evening Lecture Series, to recordings of streamed concerts, and have priority registration for CONDUCTING FUNDAMENTALS and DOCUMENTS REVIEW
Faculty & Guest Artists
Unlike Anything Else
I attend lots of festivals - I even did so during lockdown - and INMF2020 really stood out. I felt that the faculty of composers and performers were exceptionally generous with their time and knowledge. More than that, however, I felt that they had a clear and current focus on the world of music making, gave honest answers to difficult questions, and actually offered me practical, usable advice on how to further my career. I came away from every session feeling energised and motivated. I would strongly recommend this festival.
